Culinary Documentary — Port of India

Good spices come from knowing hands, and working with the Port of India was the perfect excuse to really dive into creating photography that highlighted a heritage of knowledgeable palettes and minds. From a mortar and pestle worn smooth from years of grinding fresh spice, to a bowl of golden dal steaming at the table — these photographs follow food back to the people and traditions behind it.

This series documents home cooking as it really happens: unstyled, generational, and full of care, one dish at a time.
